Frequently Asked Questions

  • Orders are only available for pickup or delivery for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

    Pre-order dates go up 2-4 weeks in advance via the order form.

    Newsletter subscribers get notified of these dates (and other updates) first.

    I’m not taking orders outside of the pre-order dates.

  • Cumberland, Falmouth, Portland, Yarmouth & North Yarmouth, and Westbrook.

    I no longer offer delivery to Cape Elizabeth, South Portland, or Pownal.

  • If you don’t plan to eat your cake within 3 hours of pick up, store it in the refrigerator. But take it out 1-2 hours before serving to soften up at room temperature.

    Cakes will look best within 24 hours of your order. Afterwards, any fresh flowers will begin to wilt. At the same time, cakes are resilient creatures full of fat and sugar and can last in the fridge for up to 4 days.

    If you have lots of leftovers, wrap slices in a double layer of cling film and freeze to enjoy later. Either defrost in the fridge overnight or a few hours on the counter.

  • I do not have any vegan or dairy-free options. Any vanilla based cake can be substituted for a gluten-free almond cake.

    However, I work in a very small space and cannot avoid the possibility of wheat/flour contamination. I do not recommend my products for anyone with extreme allergies.

  • Please reach out in advance regarding specific allergies or dietary restrictions.

    But be aware, I work in a very small space and cannot avoid cross contamination. I frequently use ingredients that contain wheat/gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy, as well as foraged plants and flowers. I do not recommend my products for anyone with extreme allergies.

  • Any cake can be a wedding cake! However, I don’t do traditional wedding cakes: no tiered cakes, tastings, or dessert platters. If you’re looking for something special or custom, fill out the order form. But please note, I’m currently booking no more than 2 months in advance.

  • No, I do not do character cakes or replicate other bakers’ styles. On that note, I also don’t use fondant or gum styles to decorate. Check out the gallery for a taste of my style.

  • No, Siblings is a cottage bakery and does not have a retail location open to the public. All orders must be made in advance.

    You can catch me at a pop-up around Maine where I sell cake slices, pastries, donuts, cookies, and other goodies. So make sure to subscribe to the newsletter or follow me on Instagram to stay in the loop about events and specials.

    You can head on over to Smalls in Portland every weekend for cakes by the slice and rotating selection of cookies and pastries.

  • I do not offer refunds. This is due to the planning and preparations required for every order. This allows me to continue to make small batch handcrafted cakes.
